• Code and reference side by side: An editor window and a documentation pane fit without horizontal scrolling, which is the workflow that smaller portable screens usually compromise on.
• Spreadsheet plus email: A full 1920x1080 grid stays visible while a mail client occupies the right side, avoiding constant window switching.
• Timeline-based editing: Video and audio timelines show more tracks at once, reducing vertical scroll during review passes.
• Design review: A full canvas and a tool palette stay visible together, which matters when the screen is also used to show work to someone else.

Where it does not replace a desktop monitor

• Ultra-wide workflows: Three or more side-by-side windows still compress at 1920 pixels wide; a 21:9 desktop panel suits that layout better.
• Color-managed print work: 100% sRGB covers web and screen output, but print workflows requiring Adobe RGB need a different panel.

What 100Hz changes

• Scrolling and dragging: Long documents and large canvases move with less stutter, which reduces the visual fatigue that accumulates over a workday.
• Fast-motion content: Games and video at frame rates above 60fps render with fewer visible gaps between frames.
• Cursor tracking: Pointer movement across an 18.5-inch surface feels more direct at 100Hz than at 60Hz, particularly on large canvases.

What 8-bit color changes

• Gradient smoothness: 8-bit depth produces 16.7 million colors, which is the threshold at which sky gradients, skin tones and shadow transitions stop showing visible banding.
• Color grading reference: Combined with 100% sRGB, 8-bit depth gives a usable reference for web and video content review without stepping into a calibrated desktop display.
• HDR interaction: HDR processing extends highlight and shadow detail, and 8-bit depth keeps those transitions smooth rather than stepped.

Connection behavior

• Switch: Connects through the mini HDMI port. The console's dock is not required when using a compatible USB-C power path, but the HDMI route is the simplest setup.
• Xbox Series and PS5: Output at 1080p over HDMI. The console may detect a 1080p display and adjust output resolution accordingly.
• PS4 and PS4 Pro: Output at 1080p over HDMI without additional configuration.

What the monitor does not add

• No VRR: Variable refresh rate is not supported. Consoles output at fixed refresh, and the panel runs at 100Hz.
• No ALLM signaling: Auto low-latency mode is a console-side feature; the monitor does not add game-mode switching beyond its standard picture settings.
• No console-specific audio routing: Audio passes through the built-in speakers or the console's own output, not through a dedicated game audio channel.

Step 1: Open the bracket

• Unfold the rear flap of the smart case and open the bracket to the desired angle.

Step 2: Fold the case

• Fold the front cover back along the crease so it forms the base of the stand. The magnetic edge holds the fold in place.

Step 3: Position for viewing

• Set the monitor on a flat surface at the angle formed by the folded case. The stand supports landscape orientation; portrait orientation requires the case to be rotated before folding.

• Adapter: Power adapter for the monitor.
• USB-C to USB-C cable (power): For supplying power to the monitor from a compatible source.
• USB-C to USB-C cable (video output): For hosts that output video over USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Not included

• Mini HDMI adapter: Not required, since the HDMI to mini HDMI cable is supplied.

Panel intake

• IPS panels are checked for bright and dark spot counts against an accepted range before assembly. Out-of-range panels are rejected.
• Brightness, white point and 100% sRGB coverage are sampled per batch before assembly.

Structural and finish check

• Because the panel surface is larger, each unit is checked for frame flatness and bezel fit before packing.
• Smart case magnetic edges and fold points are tested for retention across repeated folding cycles.

Functional test per unit

• Mini HDMI and both USB-C ports are tested on every unit before packing.
• 100Hz output, HDR signaling and 8-bit color depth are verified on a reference host rather than assumed.
• Dead-pixel results are recorded per unit and can be supplied as a batch report.

Transport durability sampling

• Sample units from each batch undergo vibration and pressure testing, since the larger surface area is more exposed to handling stress during international shipping.
• Carton packaging is checked for fit and cushioning before shipment.

Technical fit

• Confirm the host supports USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for single-cable video, or plan the mini HDMI plus USB-C two-cable configuration.
• Confirm the 18.5-inch diagonal fits the intended desk, bag or enclosure, or whether a 15.6-inch panel is required instead.
• Confirm whether external power is available for high-brightness or 100Hz use, since the second USB-C port is intended for that purpose.

Commercial fit

• Confirm the order volume meets the 1K minimum order quantity.
• Request a paid sample to evaluate panel uniformity, 100Hz behavior and 8-bit gradient rendering before committing to production.
• Confirm carton packaging requirements, lead time and inspection scope, including whether per-unit dead-pixel reports are required.
