In today's electronic display technology field, the display screen has become an important part of various smart devices. So for those that do not need to touch the display, how to fit the protection panel to our display?
From the structure of the display screen, it is usually divided into three parts from top to bottom: protective glass, touch screen (for non-touch display, this layer will not exist) and display screen. When the display does not require touch function, its structure is simplified to protect the glass and the display two layers. Precise fitting between the two layers is required to ensure the display effect and service life of the display screen.
In a non-touch display, the fitting of the protection panel is mainly divided into two types:
The first is to use a frame sticker. The frame paste can be fixed on the four sides of the protective glass and the display screen through double-sided tape, simple and fast operation, low cost, easy to disassemble, no need to replace the entire screen during maintenance, only replace the damaged part, so the maintenance cost is lower.
The second is the use of full fit technology. The full fit technology is to use water glue or optical glue to seamlessly fit the display screen and the protective glass. This technology can eliminate the air layer between the screens, greatly reduce the reflection of light and the loss of light, so as to improve the brightness and enhance the display effect of the screen. At the same time, the full-fit technology can also isolate dust and water vapor, maintain the cleanliness of the screen, and extend the service life of the display.
In the specific operation, the full fit technology needs to go through a series of precise process steps. First, apply the adhesive evenly to the display or protective glass. The two are then precisely fitted together using a laminating device and the bubbles are removed in a pressurized debubbler. Finally, the adhesive is fully cured by ultraviolet light source to complete the bonding process.
It is worth noting that although the full fit technology has many advantages, its cost is relatively high; In addition, the yield of full fit technology is relatively low, especially when the fit area increases, the yield will further decline.
Therefore, when choosing a fit technology, it is necessary to make trade-offs according to specific application scenarios and requirements. For displays that do not require touch functions, the use of full-fit technology can effectively improve the display effect and service life.
